What this website uses

This website uses no advertising cookies, no remarketing trackers, no social-media pixels and no cross-site tracking technologies of any kind. The only optional technology is Google Analytics, and it is described in full below.

Google Analytics is optional

Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are viewed and which contact links are used, so we can improve the website. It is not used for advertising.

Storage is denied by default. The Google measurement code loads on every page, but it starts in a denied state: analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are all set to denied before the code is loaded, and they stay denied until you choose Accept Analytics. While they are denied, no analytics cookie and no advertising cookie is created, and no identifier is stored on your device.

We should be plain about one thing: while storage is denied, the Google code may still send Google a small, cookieless measurement request. It carries no cookie and no identifier stored on your device — it is aggregate signal only, and it is what allows us to count page views and enquiries at all without tracking you. If you choose Reject Analytics, storage stays denied permanently and only these cookieless requests may be sent. If you choose Accept Analytics, analytics storage is granted; advertising storage and personalisation remain denied either way.

If you accept, Google Analytics may process technical information such as your device type, browser, operating system, approximate location derived from your network address, the pages you view, how far you scroll, and which contact links you select. Google acts as the analytics provider for this data. How long it is kept is configured within Google Analytics, currently at fourteen months for user and event data.

What is never sent to Analytics

This website does not send your name, telephone number, email address, company name, city, address, message text, drawing file names, drawing data or quotation details to Google Analytics. When a contact link is selected, only the fixed text of that link, the link target with any query string removed, the path of the page you were on, and a fixed label such as "phone" or "email" are recorded. When a quotation request has been confirmed as sent by the server, a single generate_lead event is recorded carrying three fixed labels only — the form identifier, the lead type and the service. Nothing you typed into the form is included. These events are recorded whether or not you have accepted analytics; when you have not accepted, they are sent as cookieless requests and nothing is stored on your device.

Advertising features are switched off. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are set to denied at all times and are never granted by this website. Google signals, ads personalisation, remarketing and user identifiers are not enabled, and advertising click identifiers are redacted from requests while advertising storage is denied. A Google Ads account is connected to Google Analytics so that confirmed quotation requests can be counted as conversions in aggregate. That connection is made inside Google Analytics only: this website loads no Google Ads advertising cookie, no remarketing tag and no personalised advertising feature.

How your choice is stored

Your decision is kept in your own browser's local storage under the key mlw_analytics_consent_v1. It records only the word granted or denied. It contains nothing that identifies you, it is not sent anywhere, and it never leaves your device. This website sets no cookie of its own. Until you accept analytics, Google is not permitted to set a cookie either. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may then set its own cookies in your browser.

Changing or withdrawing your decision

Select Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page to reopen the panel and change your decision at any time. Withdrawing consent returns analytics storage to denied on any page you visit afterwards, so Google is no longer permitted to store anything on your device; only cookieless measurement requests may then be sent. You can also clear your browser's local storage and cookies for this website, which removes the stored preference and any analytics cookie; the panel will then appear again on your next visit.

Managing cookies in your browser

Your browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage for any website through its privacy or site-settings controls. Blocking storage for this website does not prevent you from using it.

What we do not claim

We describe what this website does, not what Google does internally. We cannot promise that data processed by Google is anonymous, that Google performs no processing of its own, or that data is erased from Google's systems on request.
