What Job Work Means Here
Laser cutting job work means the cutting is carried out for you on a per-component basis. You supply the drawing and the requirement; the parts are cut to that geometry and returned. Where the component also needs forming or joining, CNC press brake bending, welding and fabrication can be reviewed as part of the same enquiry.
Two different machines do two different kinds of cutting, and the limits are not interchangeable. The sections below set out which is which so that the right one can be quoted for your part.
Two Processes
Pipe and tube laser cutting works on hollow sections along their length and around their circumference. Sheet and plate laser cutting works on flat material, cutting contours, holes and openings out of the sheet.
Cut on a 6 kW pipe laser in mild steel and stainless steel. Round pipe, square tube and rectangular tube are confirmed profiles; other profiles are reviewed against the drawing.
Cut on a 3 kW flat laser in mild steel and stainless steel, up to 12 mm material thickness. Contours, holes, slots and openings are cut to the geometry defined in your DXF file.
Final cutting capability depends on the material grade, section or sheet dimensions, wall or material thickness, component geometry, cut features, quantity, and technical drawing review.
After Cutting
Cut components often need more than cutting. CNC press brake bending is available up to a 3,000 mm bending length and 8 mm material thickness, and welding and fabrication are carried out to approved drawings.

Drawing to Quotation
Include the material and grade, thickness or section size, component dimensions, quantity and your required completion date.
The geometry, profile or sheet size, material and quantity are checked against the confirmed cutting capability. Typically reviewed within three days after complete project information is received. This is an estimated response time, not a guarantee.
A quotation is prepared according to the confirmed scope of work.
Cutting proceeds after technical details and commercial terms are approved, and completed work is checked against the approved requirements.
Common Questions
DXF drawings are accepted. Send the DXF together with the material, grade, thickness or section size, component dimensions, quantity and your required completion date. DXF files are retained for one month.
Round pipe, square tube and rectangular tube are confirmed profiles. Other profiles are reviewed individually against the drawing.
Mild steel (MS) and stainless steel (SS), for both pipe and tube cutting and sheet and plate cutting.
The confirmed pipe and profile size range is 50 mm to 220 mm, with wall thickness up to 12 mm and a maximum length of 6,000 mm.
